President Tinubu’s Commitment to National Security
President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that the fight against terrorism and banditry is a top priority for his administration. Represented by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, at the commissioning of housing projects for victims of banditry in Kaduna State, Tinubu emphasized the government’s dedication to restoring law and order.
Progress in Kaduna State
The president highlighted the significant strides made in Kaduna State, including the reopening of the Birnin Gwari Market and the return of displaced farmers to their lands, as signs of the ‘Kaduna Peace Model’s’ success. This model, described as intelligence and community-driven, aims to cultivate sustainable peace.
Government’s Broader Agenda
Tinubu also praised the collaborative efforts of the Kaduna State Government, the Office of the National Security Adviser, and the Chief of Defence Staff in addressing insecurity. The housing project, in partnership with the Qatar Charity Organisation, is part of the Federal Government’s initiative to rebuild communities affected by violence.
