Rebuilding Lives in Kaduna
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has taken a monumental step in the fight against banditry by commissioning newly built homes for victims under the Phase 1 of the Qatar Sanabil Project. This initiative, a collaboration between the Kaduna State Government and Qatar Charity, aims to restore dignity and rebuild the lives of families devastated by years of insecurity.
A Holistic Approach to Recovery
The project goes beyond providing shelter; it includes a school, a clinic, and a shopping complex, addressing the comprehensive needs of the affected communities. Governor Sani emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating it represents a covenant fulfilled with the people of Kaduna, offering hope and a new beginning to widows, orphans, and displaced individuals.
Empowerment and Education
Alongside the homes, beneficiaries received empowerment tools such as tricycles, grinding machines, and salon kits to foster economic independence. The governor also unveiled a new school and a skills acquisition center, underscoring the administration’s commitment to not just rebuild homes, but futures.
Looking Ahead
Governor Sani announced the commencement of Phase 2 of the project, promising more homes, schools, and clinics to further aid in the state’s recovery. He lauded the support of Qatar Charity and government officials, highlighting the collective effort in bringing peace and dignity back to Kaduna.
