Bayern Munich are ‘increasingly certain’ that they will sign Luis Diaz this summer. The Colombian international is understood to be open to seeking pastures new. Financial Details and Negotiations
Bayern can offer Luis Diaz more than Liverpool, with reports suggesting a four-year contract earning €14m gross per year is on the table. The Bundesliga champions are prepared to reach €70m [£60.7m] plus add-ons with their third bid, a figure that still falls short of Liverpool’s expectations. Liverpool are understood to be looking for a fee above the £70m mark for the former FC Porto attacker.
Liverpool’s Stance
Given that Liverpool first signed Diaz for a package totalling £50m, it’s hard to imagine sporting director Richard Hughes sanctioning a sale that would only see Liverpool make a £10m profit. With Diaz contracted until 2027, Liverpool are under no immediate pressure to sell, presenting their best chance to secure maximum value for the wide attacker.
