Coalition Leaders Rally Behind ADC for 2027 Elections
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has revealed that coalition leaders are prepared to support whoever emerges as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made in Port Harcourt, highlighting the opposition’s commitment to a transparent and fair primary process.
Call for Unity Against Current Government
Amaechi criticized the current state of the nation, urging citizens to register under the ADC to challenge the ruling APC and address the widespread hardship. The ADC has been chosen as the platform to contest President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, with notable figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi joining the coalition.
Democracy at Stake
The coalition, including former Senate President David Mark and ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, aims to safeguard Nigeria’s democracy and prevent it from becoming a one-party state. The group’s formation marks a significant step in the opposition’s strategy for the upcoming elections.
