Presidency Fires Back at ADC Over Buhari Death Exploitation Claims
The Presidency has issued a strong rebuttal to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following its accusations that President Bola Tinubu’s administration sought to exploit the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari for political gains. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, dismissed the ADC’s allegations as baseless and disrespectful.
ADC’s Accusations Meet Strong Rejection
In a statement, Dare accused the ADC of attempting to gain political relevance by disrespecting the memory of Buhari. He highlighted the dignified state burial accorded to Buhari, which was attended by world leaders and watched by millions of Nigerians, as evidence of the government’s respect for the late president.
Government Achievements Speak Volumes
Dare also listed several achievements of the Tinubu administration, including economic stabilization, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs, to counter the ADC’s claims. He urged Nigerians to disregard the ADC’s statements, describing them as desperate attempts for attention.
