President Bola Tinubu has touched down in Japan, marking the beginning of his participation in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). This significant event, scheduled from August 20 to 22 in Yokohama, promises to be a cornerstone for African development discussions.
Accompanied by a delegation of senior officials, Tinubu’s agenda includes not only attending the conference’s plenary sessions but also engaging in crucial bilateral meetings with Japanese business leaders. These discussions aim to bolster investments in Nigeria, showcasing the country’s growing appeal to international investors.
Following the conference, President Tinubu is set to embark on a state visit to Brazil, further extending Nigeria’s diplomatic outreach. This visit underscores the administration’s commitment to strengthening ties with key global partners.
