Safety Shooters and Babes Lead the Pack
Safety Shooters and Safety Babes, teams owned by the Federal Road Safety Corp, have emerged as the frontrunners in the men’s and women’s categories of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025. The first phase concluded at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State, with both teams showcasing exceptional performance.
Men’s Category Highlights
Safety Shooters secured their top position in the men’s standings with a decisive 26–20 win over Niger United, finishing the phase with 28 points from 10 matches. Their remarkable campaign was highlighted by a league-high 322 goals scored and a +91 goal difference. COAS Shooters, despite also accumulating 28 points, had to settle for second place due to a +50 goal difference.
Women’s Category Dominance
On the women’s side, defending champions Safety Babes remained unbeaten throughout the seven-match phase, topping the log with 21 points. Their impressive run included 242 goals scored and a +69 goal difference, setting the stage for their quest for an unprecedented quintuple of titles.
